WHEELCHAIR SPORTS AWARENESS CLINICS
Why not try something new, fun and different for your students
Wheelchair Sports Awareness Clinics are a gym activity for classroom-sized groups that provide an opportunity for students to:
- Learn about different types of physical disabilities and how people with disabilities can live an active lifestyle
- Learn about wheelchair skills and wheelchair sports
- Try an activity in a wheelchair
Wheelchair Sports Awareness Clinics provide great learning and awareness opportunities for students in a fun environment.
The clinics include a variety of activities including:
- Wheelchair Skills - Presentations are designed to fit your schedule
- Wheelchair Basketball - They can vary from ½ hour to 1+ hour clinics
- Wheelchair Rugby - Appropriate for all ages
- Wheelchair Relays - 15 - 25 students per clinic is a nice size
- Wheelchair Tag
They also include:
- An open discussion period with presenters who have disabilities
- An open discussion about disability awareness & wheelchair awareness
- A discussion about other wheelchair sports including – wheelchair racing, sledge hockey, skiing (water, alpine & cross-country
Cost:
Presentations Equipment Fee Travel
Full Day $200.00 (to maintain the wheelchairs) $0.35 / km (out of town travel)
Half Day $150.00 Full Day $50.00
Half Day $25.00
